LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (December 12, 2022) - Insitor Partners, an impact investment fund backing entrepreneurs who build life-changing solutions for low-income consumers, was recognized with the 2022 Social Impact Award from the Global Private Capital Association (GPCA).
Insitor received the award for its investment in Khmer Water Supply Holding (KWSH), a piped-water utility company expanding access to safe and affordable water across rural Cambodia. The company reaches nearly 100,000 rural Cambodians with clean and filtered water, piped directly to households in order to eliminate time-consuming daily walks to collect water from unclean sources.
KWSH acquired additional water utilities, expanded its pipe network and revamped its marketing campaign with investment from the Insitor Impact Asia Fund I (IIAF I). Through these efforts, KWSH increased the number of connected households from 6,000 at the time of IIAF’s initial investment to over 17,000 as of mid-2022. The company now provides over two billion liters of clean water annually.
